I was PA-ing on a movie, and was introduced.
Of course, I knew she was important, but couldn’t remember for what until three days later. So instead of going “Oh, I saw you on Filmmaker’s magazine this month, I really liked your quotes about (x,y, and z), I merely said that it was nice to meet her and went about my business.

He came to the film festival when I was volunteering as an usher. I honestly couldn’t look him in the face, because I’m not a big fan. But I did tear his wife’s ticket.
